Brian Mays Obituary

It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Brian Eugene Mays Sr.,
Brian was born in Greenville, MS on Sunday September 24,1967. Brian was the
cherished third of seven children born to Marie McClendon mays and Herman Lee Mays.
In 1973, Brian, along with his mother and brothers, moved to the westside of Chicago
Illinois to live with his beloved grandmother Lucille Martin, step grandfather Charlie
Flowers, and great Aunt Henreitta Coleman. Brian and his brothers Maurice M
cClendon, Tyrone Mays, James Mays, Clarence Mays and Willie Mays were enrolled at Victor Herbert Elementary School.


The summer of 1982 marked another significant chapter when Brian, his mother Marie
and brothers Tyrone, James, Clarence, and willie moved to the south suburban Area of
Chicago heights. Tragically December 13,1982 a devastating fire struck only Brian and his
brother James survived. Brian and James moved to Boyle, Mississippi with their father
Herman mays and family .


As Brian grew older Brian attended school in Mississippi. Brian graduated from eastside
high school in 1985. After graduating high school Brian displayed a remarkable sense of
duty and resilience this led Brian to enlist in the united states marine corps, where he
served his country with honor and distinction.


Brian’s journey was marked by immense strength, compassion and dedication. He
leaves his cherish memories with his children Marie Mays, Melissa Mays, Lebrian Willie
Mays, Brianna Gallagher, Orion Gallagher, Aubrianna Mays, Brayden Mays, and Destiny
Mays. Brian is survived by his brothers Raymond Kelly, Maurice McClendon, Demetris
Myles, Sr., and his sisters Sandra Daniels, Cassandra Turner, Augusta Byrd, Felicia Mays
Marshall. Brian also leaves his cherish memories with his aunts Minnie brown, Erma Burnett of California, Margaret 
Mays of Shelby, MS, Dorothy Gibson of Pace, MS and Magnolia Mays (Cleveland, MS) he was survived by plenty of nieces and nephews and cousins.
