Charles C. Allen, Sr. was born April 2, 1954 in Shelby, MS to Lee Thomas Allen, Sr. and
Minnie Bell Allen of Shelby, MS. Charles was a faithful member of New Mt. Olive
Temple.
Charles graduated from Broad Street High School in 1972. After graduation he joined
the U.S. military and served his time as a Vietnam veteran.
Charles was an all-around person and was loved by his peers. He enjoyed reading,
being a deacon of the church, and he loved his grandchildren.
Proceeding him in death his father Lee Thomas Allen, Sr., his mother Minnie Bell Allen,
two brothers Robert Lee Allen, and Issac Lee Allen, and a granddaughter Jametrice
Kianna-Jameil Brown.
Charles leaves to carry on his memories a devoted wife Jessie Allen of Duncan, MS, (2)

brothers Lee Thomas (Betty) Allen, Jr., of St. Louis, MO, Nathaniel (Bernice) Allen of
Grand Rapids, MI, (5) sisters Louise Shannon, Munice, IN, Mary Allen, Grand Rapids,
MI, Flora Allen, Grand Rapids, MI, Essie (Robert) Hayes of Detroit, MI, and Christiana
(Thomas) Tolbert of Detroit, MI. 34 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, a host of
