Christopher Curb Obituary

Christopher Tavarous Curb was born on February 16, 1980, to Clara Curb and Carl Curb in Cleveland, MS. He accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior and was baptized at an early age by Rev. Reed at St. Peter Rock Missionary Baptist Church. He later joined United Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Sammie Rash.

Chris lived life with an energy and spirit that lit up every room. An extrovert at heart, he embraced every moment with joy, laughter, and a love for people. Whether gathering with friends or spending time with family, Chris brought warmth and enthusiasm wherever he went. His life was a celebration of connection, fun, and the beauty of living fully.

As a young adult, Chris showed determination and a strong work ethic early on. He entered the workforce at the age of 16, balancing responsibility with ambition. A proud graduate of East Side High School, he went on to briefly attend Coahoma Community College before choosing to focus on building his life through work. Over the years, Chris worked with multiple companies in Cleveland, MS, Memphis, TN, and Houston, TX, building lasting connections and earning respect for his dedication and drive.

Chris had a true passion for trading forex, a craft he enjoyed not only for the challenge but for the excitement it brought into his life. Just as much as he loved the markets, he cherished the time he spent with the children in his family. Whether teaching them, playing with them, or simply making them laugh, Chris found joy in being a part of their lives and creating memories that will always be treasured.

Chris leaves behind a loving family who will forever carry his memory in their hearts. He is survived by his parents, Clara Curb, Vernon Coleman, Carl Curb, and Jan Van De Pol-Curb, as well as his children, Christopher Lanney, Akyah Murry, and Ashton Jackson. He also leaves his siblings, Tamuria (Wakesia) Brown, Virginia (Tarzavis) Washington, Joshua (Shaquanda) Curb, Victor (Sameerah) Coleman, and Vanessa Brown; his significant other, Stacie Reed; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Each of them will remember Chris not only for his vibrant personality but also for the deep love he shared with them. He is preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Frankie Green; maternal grandfather, Romey Green Jr.; paternal grandmother, Doris Thomas; and a host of aunts and uncles.

Psalm 23
The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
He maketh me to lie down in green pastures:
he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul:
He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil: for thou art with me;
Thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.

Thou preparest a table before me
In the presence of mine enemies:
Thou anointest my head with oil;

My cup runneth over.

Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me
all the days of my life: and I will dwell

In the house of the Lord for ever.
