Derrick Byrd

Obituary

Derrick Terrence Byrd was born on July 24, 1973, to Janie Mae Byrd and Robert Walker, in
Webb, MS. He accepted Christ as his personal savior at an early age.
Preceding Derrick in death are his parents; grandparents, Andrew and Ethel Byrd; and niece,
Dontrenecia Byrd.

Derrick was a graduate of West Tallahatchie High School. He was employed as a welding
supervisor at The KBH Corporation.

On Wednesday, March 27, 2024, God called Derrick home.

Derrick is survived by his wife and soulmate, Chrissy; children-Derek, Ashley, Derraneasha,
Keaylah, and Kamiera; siblings-Donald Byrd, Dontrell Byrd, Stevie Anderson, Rodney
Washington, Rico Carter, Orlando Ross, Nathan White, Kamica Wilson, Lilton Cannon, Terrence
Croft, Georgia Wise, Terrence Tanna, Christopher Washington, and Derrick Reed; aunts-Pearlie
McGhee and Martha Young; uncle-Clemmon Byrd; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and
friends.
