Obituary
Doris S. Porter was born November 30, 1943 in Scott, Mississippi to Thelma Lewis. Doris was a graduate of Rosedale High School. She furthered her education at Coahoma community College, Mississippi Delta Community College, and Malcom X College as a Laboratory Technician. Doris was a woman that accomplished many things in her life, to make sure her children didn’t go without. In, 2009 Doris retired from Holy Cross Hospital in Chicago, Illinois and moved back home to Mississippi. Doris rededicated her life to Christ at New Life Church in Cleveland, MS under the direction of Bishop Roderick Mitchell.
Doris was preceded in death by her mother Thelma Lewis, three brothers Clavin Robinson, James Robinson, and John Lewis. One sister Inez Seaberry. Two nieces Felisha Maxon and Shekita Robinson. Two nephews, Christopher Sellers and Patrick Robinson. Two sisters-in-law and a brother-in-law.
Doris leaves to cherish her memories; her daughters Sharon D. Williams (WI) and Genette F. Clotman (MS). She also leaves to cherish her memories her grandchildren Rodney E. Allen {Melva Allen} (IA), Randell M. Allen {Tanerica Allen}, Shounietta E. Allen (both WI), LaDonia J. Moore, Makarios R. Clotman (both MS), and a
host of great-grand children.
Doris’ brothers and sisters: Sherman Robinson, Patricia Freeland {Tyrone Freeland}, Vincent Lewis, Joe Ann Robinson (all TX), Beverlyn Elliot {Jehosphat Elliot} (FL), Levan Robinson, Gloria Sellers (MS), and a many many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
