The late Mr. Earnest Sellers, Sr. was born to J.C. Sellers and Easter Sellers in
Coffeeville, Alabama who preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death
by his sister Alice Franklin, brothers, J.D. Sellers, Jimmie Sellers, Sr., Willie Earl
Sellers and Wash Sellers, Sr.
Mr. Sellers was the third of seven children. Early in life he moved from Coffeeville,
Alabama to Merigold, MS where he has been until his death. Mr. Sellers
confessed his life at an early age. After returning to Merigold, Mississippi Mr.
Sellers joined Bright Star Missionary Baptist church under the leadership of
Reverend J.B. Woods. He served on the Usher board at Bright Star Missionary
Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend Walter Hill, Sr. He later joined
Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Bobby
Williams.
Mr. Sellers worked as a farmer at Pemble Farms for over 50 years. Mr. Sellers was
a dedicated and hardworking husband, father, grandfather, and friend to those
who he encountered.
Mr. Sellers was united in Holy Matrimony to Magnolia Sellers. To this union seven
(7) children were born; daughters, Deloris Sellers, Mary (Henry) Payne, Estella
(Jessie) Rogers, Princess Hall, and Contessa Sellers, sons; Earnest (Linda) Sellers,
Jr. and Charles (Victoria) Sellers all of Merigold, MS, ten (10) grandchildren,
Consuela (Wilson) Hayes of Cleveland, MS, Shanika Sellers, Latoya Sellers,
Courtney Sellers, Satoria Hall, Ladarius Hall, Kalaharis Sellers all of Merigold, MS,
Samone (Cordaryl) Warren of Cordova, TN, Antonio Sellers of Denver, CO and
Marchello Spann of Jacksonville, FL; ten (10) great-grandchildren, Collin Sellers,
Greyson Hayes, Jabien Hentz, Haleigh Sellers, Aubree Spann, Kamarion Williams,
Kyson Williams, Braelin Barnes, Issac Warren and Brinx Sellers; nine (9) sisters-in-
law, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
