Jamario Cox Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Jamario Rashad Cox, born May 10, 1979, in Cleveland, MS to Vincent (Hunky) Richards and Denise (Niecey) Cox. Rashad gained his wings to glory on July 27, 2024, in Waverly, Tennessee, leaving behind a legacy of love, faith, and joy.

Rashad was a cherished grandson of his deceased grandparents, John L. and Barbara Richards and Herman, Sr. and Vida Mae Cox. He attended schools in the Cleveland School District and Coahoma Community College. At a young age, he gave his life to Christ and was baptized at New Jerusalem Church in the Brickyard, a commitment that shaped his life and guided his journey.

Life was not always easy for Rashad, but he faced every challenge with a heart full of grace and an unwavering determination to make the best of what he had. Known for his infectious laughter, Rashad had a remarkable ability to uplift others and bring light to their lives. His friends and family could always rely on his support, and his presence was a steady source of comfort and strength.

Rashad lived in Horn Lake, MS, before finding his home in the Nashville area. He was dedicated to his work at various companies, and at Alorica Industries, his commitment and kindness were evident to all who had the pleasure of working with him.

He is deeply missed by his children, LaStacey Pleasant, Bryan Cox, Brylen Cox, and Bryson Cox, all of Walls, Mississippi; his loving mother, Denise Richards of Memphis, TN; his beautiful ex-wife and mother of his children, Stacey Seaton-Cox of Walls; and his devoted sister, Shawana Cox of Southaven, MS. Rashad's memory will also live on through his cherished friendships, especially his god-sister, Latrice Burks, and his special bond with the M.O.B. Brothers. His extended family—his aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends—will forever hold his memory close.

Though Rashad is no longer with us, his spirit will forever be a guiding light in the lives of those he touched. We will cherish his memory with peace, love, forgiveness, and faith, and we will forever hold close the joy and laughter he brought into our lives.
