Nolan Williams Sr. was born on January 7, 1955 in Minter City, MS to the late Buster and Beatrice
Williams. He departed his earthly life on April 27, 2026 in Cleveland, MS
Nolan began his academic journey in the Sunflower County School District. Nolan was a member of
the Ruleville Central Marching Band. He began his work career on the shipyard in Pascagoula, MS.,
and later moved to Cleveland, MS, where he worked at Color Tile and retired at Duo Fast.
Nolan united with The Greater New Kingdom Baptist Church in 1984, where he remained until he
was called home. Nolan was a jack of all trades. He had a passion for mechanics, carpentry, and
also plumbing. He was a respectful, humble man who enjoyed spending time with his family and
friends.
He met and married Dorothy Pendleton in 1982.
Nolan leaves to cherish his fondest memories- his loving wife Dorothy William of 44 years of
Cleveland, Ms. Five sons: LD Pendelton Jr. of Cleveland, MS, Noah Williams of Mobile, AL, Byron
Williams of Pascagoula, MS, Daryl Pendleton of Cleveland, MS, and Nolan Williams Jr. of Horn
lake, MS; Four daughters: Angela (Kereem) Rasheed of Atlanta, GA, Nolanda William Mitchell of
Pascagoula, MS, Temekia (Andrew) Gordon of Southaven, MS, Jasmine Jackson of Collierville, Tn;
Two brothers: Wille Lee and Jessie B. Williams of Moss Point, MS; Three sisters: Beatrice Eaton of
Greenville, MS, Rosie Green of Cleveland, MS and Vera McNair of Moss Point, MS, 31
grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
He is preceded in death by 5 brothers and 3 sisters as well 4 grandchildren.
