Roscoe Wade was born December 10, 1950 to the late Zack and Ozella Rash Wade in Sunflower, MS.
Roscoe completed his general studies at Eastside High School in Cleveland, MS in 1971 where he played football and basketball with the greatest teams ever. He furthered his studies at Alcorn State University receiving his Bachelor of Science in Health Education in 1970. In 1995, he received his Master’s of Science in Public Administration at Texas Southern University.
Rosco was employed with Harris County Hospital District. He retired as District Director of Transportation and Logistical Services. Shortly after, Roscoe relocated to Washington, D.C. where he retired from Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission Director of Logistics.
Roscoe Wade of Cleveland, MS transitioned in the early morning hours on March 19, 2026 at the age of 75. His parents Zack and Ozella, brothers Robert Lee, John Lewis Zack Lee; sisters Helen Sue, Mary Zell and Berdie Mae preceded him in death.
He leaves to mourn his memories, his pride and joy daughter, Bianca Ford-Doddy (Trent) of Houston, TX; sisters, Earline Woodley of Shelby, MS, Dorothy Silas (Andrew) of Boyle, MS and Neormia Griffin-Briggs(Edward) of Renova, MS; godkids, Dr. Sumiko Anderson, Geoff Phillis, Chase Collins, Catton Collins, Jr., and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family, and friends.
