Suleshia "Poowoo/Pooda" Robinson Obituary

Suleshia Kyhundria Robinson, affectionately known as “Poowoo/Pooda"; passed away
from a rare form of appendiceal cancer on April 6, 2023. She was only 30 years old and
displayed astonishing resilience while ill.
Suleshia was born December 1, 1992 in Oklahoma City, OK to Latasha Davis and Tony
Hamilton. She received her childhood education at Cypress Parks Elementary. She
frequented many states but always considered Cleveland, MS her home. She accepted
Christ as her lord and savior at New Saint Phillip Church under the leadership of Pastor
Larry L. King at a young age and always valued her relationship with Christ. She
graduated from East Side High School in 2011 and went on to attend Mississippi Delta
Community College. Suleshia later realized she was ready to join the workforce. She
took pride in working her way up by displaying a phenomenal work ethic. She was a
manager at 745 cash of Memphis, TN before becoming ill where she was awarded
employee and manager of the month.
She was preceded in death by Rosie Peters (Grandmother), Lillie Mae Jones (Great
Grandmother), Lequisa Williams (Aunt), Edward Lee Davis (Step Father).
She leaves to cherish her memory her mother Latasha Davis (Memphis, TN), Father
Tony Hamilton (Oklahoma City, OK) children Kentrell Thompson Jr (11), Khylen
Thompson (8) and Nova Parker (4), Grandfather Roger Cooper (Sunflower, MS), Siblings
Jamal Robinson (Memphis, TN), Kontrevious Robinson (Memphis, TN) and Ed’Kedra
Davis (Memphis, TN) nieces and nephews, Ashanti Robinson, Ke’layshia Williams, Alfred
Robinson, Jr. ,Earnest L Banks Jr., Maya’layshia Williams and a host of aunts, uncles,
cousins and friends.
Growing up “Poowoo” took the role as a big sister very serious. She is the eldest
daughter and took pride in taking care of her siblings. She protected them and did
whatever was necessary to make sure they were taken care of alongside her mom. In
that same essence she was an amazing mother. In her children, she instilled a value for
education, good morals, and encouraged delightful spirits.

Suffering from cancer is a vile fate, but she met it with a determination to fight each day.
Her fight against cancer didn't diminish who she was. We witnessed her strength, her
excitement for life, and her drive to remain victorious for her children. She leaves
behind an amazing legacy in her three children. Each with their own separate
personalities that she cherished and invested into daily. She has molded them to be the
next generation of success while also instilling the importance of love and family.
Suleshia was a fun spirited soul who took on many passions. Outside of work she
enjoyed traveling, movies, hair, make-up, being surrounded by her best friends and most
of all recreational time with her kids. “Poowoo” was a jokester of the family that fought
till the end. She was known for saying “Naw Now” at the craziest moments. No one
could make you feel as special as “Pooda” could. She would compliment you in a way
that made you feel as if you were the finest thing walking. She had so many roles in our
family. The banker, the hairstylist, the cook, the comedian, the guardian. She cannot be
replaced.
“Pooda” was truly a beautiful person inside and out. Her smile and eyes were so
stunning, they would light up the whole room. She cared deeply for the people around
her. She was so kind and passionate. Suleshia made an impact on MANY lives and truly
enjoyed uplifting others! She will forever be loved and she will forever be missed.
