Thalmon Charles (TC) Akon was born August 1, 1951 in Sunflower County, Mississippi to Roy and Mary Akon. TC was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters Floriece Sutton and Dianne-Sutton and a nephew Chauncey Akon.
TC accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age at New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church.
TC graduated from East side High School in 1971. While there he was an outstanding athlete and excelled in Football, Baseball, ana Basketball; he remained a loyal and faithful supporter of his Alma Mater throughout his life. He continued his athletic journey at Coahoma Community College in Clarksdale, MS and also Stillman college in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.
He leaves to cherish his memory one daughter Avia Mckinzie-Akon, one son Cornelius Winters; three grandchildren Aviance and Anderson McKinzie and Cornelius Winters, Jr. and siblings: one sister Delores Glover and four brothers; LeRoy Akon (Myrna), Robert Akon (Connie), Willie Roy Akon (Francis), Fredrick Akon (Stephanie).
He also leaves to cherish his memories nieces, nephews, relatives, friends and a host of Eastside Trojans faithful.
