Tiara Ford Obituary

Tiara Shavon Ford was born on January 31, 1993 in Indianola, MS to Linda Wilson and Edward
Earl Wilson. As the youngest of five children, she was able to showcase her ability to live in
grace and bravery. They were mesmerized by her wise energy and confidence.

In grade school, she took hold of her faith in God and by high school His Word became more
and more evident in her life. An abundance of friends and classmates at Gentry High School
had the opportunity to pour into her life and like a flower she continued to grow and flourish.
The GHS Class of 2011 can attest to her love for learning, music, and art, and a host of nieces
and nephews can confirm her admiration in helping others.

In an effort to explore new territory she took her faith and enrolled in college with aspirations to
work with children. She began her studies at Mississippi State University, and in 2016, she
received her Bachelors in Social Work and Psychology from Delta State University. In lieu of
career advancement, Tiara got her first job in the Cleveland School District as a teacher’s
assistant at H. M. Nailor Elementary School.

As she bonded with students, teachers, parents and community, Tiara met Travoris Williams.
The two shared their life’s goals, and they both were dedicated to success. Tiara was named H.
M. Nailor’s Paraprofessional of the Year. She started graduate courses in hopes of receiving
her Masters of Education in School Counseling from Delta State University. Her highest
achievement thus far was the induction into a national honor society, Delta Sigma Upsilon of Chi
Sigma Iota. Travoris is pursuing a career in law enforcement where he is an investigator for
Bolivar County Sheriff Department.

She was preceded in death by Edward Wilson (father) and James and Roberta Brown
(grandparents).

Tiara leaves her mom Linda Wilson; sisters Delecia Liddell (Terrence) of Cleveland, MS and
Natarsha Ford of Cleveland, MS, brothers Adrien Ford of Buffalo, NY and Demarcus Ford
(Felicia) of Belzoni, a special friend Travoris Williams, Myiah, and Ginger to cherish her
memories.

She loved and adored life and took advantage of each opportunity to create something of
beauty for each of us.
